CMBA RELEASE POLICY

Cambridge Minor Baseball operates our travel program with the intent of fielding the best possible minor baseball team within the ICBA and be competitive within the province.

Our goal is to have our players play within Cambridge and therefore we adhere to a strict no-release policy. Additional details are outlined below:

1. Players residing within Cambridge or Cambridge Minor Baseball boundaries must try out for our travel teams and play travel if selected by the coach to play for that team.

2. Only if a player is not rostered to any travel teams during tryouts will a release be granted to try out in other associations.

3. Any Cambridge player wishing to try out in another center after being released from all travel teams at their age division must first secure a release from the Cambridge Minor Baseball President or Vice President of Travel.

4. The release request must be submitted in writing including the reason the release is being requested.

5. Releases will not be granted to players not in good standing with Cambridge Minor Baseball including players with outstanding financial commitments.

6. Releases will not be granted to players who have already signed an Intent to Play/Team Roster.

7. A release may be granted if our travel program does not offer a team at the player’s age level

8. If there is another legitimate reason to require a release, the reason must be explained in writing and will be subject to CMBA board of directors review and approval
