TRAVEL GAME PROCEDURES 

RAINOUTS: 

Step#1: Go to City of Cambridge website www.cambridge.ca, Sport Field Conditions are updated daily at 3pm. If fields are closed go to Step #2. If fields are open go to Step#3 

Step#2: Notify visiting team of cancellation, contact CMBA umpire assignor at [email protected] and cancel umpires as well. 

Step#3: City has declared the field open, the game may still be canceled by umpires at the diamond if weather was uncooperative between 3pm city posting and game start time. If diamond is deemed unplayable rescheduling will need to be done. Diamond deemed playable, PLAY BALL.

RESCHEDULING GAMES 

Step#1: Contact visiting team to reschedule, try and provide more than one option.  

Step #2: Contact umpire assignor first before rescheduling any game. Usually rescheduling a game couple weeks out is not an issue. Include in the email to  Umpire Assignor original date and time and the new date and time being proposed. Anything less than two weeks notice, it’s highly unlikely to have umpires. 

Step #3: Once a date has been agreed to by assignor and visiting team, contact your ICBA division convenor with changes. Verify by checking Assignor that all changes were made. It’s good practice to check assignor a week out from any game you have scheduled.
