Girls Baseball Program 2024
1) In 2024, where registration allows, we will build all girls teams to compete in the house league with the boys.
2) Where numbers do not allow us to make full teams, we will endeavor to put more than 2 girls per team, eg. 8 registrations for a 4-team league, we will put 4 on one team and 4 on a second team.
ALL THIS IS SUBJECT TO THE NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS AT THE TIME REGISTRATIONS CLOSE.
3) In divisions where we have full teams or divisions where we have partial teams, we will take players who want extra competition and create an exhibition schedule against other teams in the Inter County Baseball Association (ICBA). This includes centers such as Brantford, Kitchener, Guelph etc. We will accommodate players at all ages who want to play and make teams for ICBA play where we can. There may be a nominal additional cost (including t-shirt, umpires, etc.) depending on the circumstance. This all subject to willing families to participate.
Where numbers and interest are shown we will also do.
1) Indoor “Spring Training” for girls only, a small fee may apply.
2) Organize outdoor summer clinics throughout the summer for girls only to include Pitching, hitting, defensive play.
3) Promote girls 15, 16 and 17 years old to tryout for the ICBA “Summer Games” team. This is a new division for the “Summer Games”.
Female Coaches
For this program to be successful we will need female coaches on the field. To that end we will.
· Establish a mentorship program to help new female coaches in all aspect of the game including, skill development, practice planning, game management, umpire relationship building and if coaching in an ICBA game, management of those games.
· Be available throughout the summer for questions and support.
