CMBA Uniform Policy - Revision Date August 19 2024
A CMBA uniform will be required for all our teams and divided into the following categories:
- House League – Junior T-ball through 18U
- House League Select
- Representative (Travel) - 8U through 22U
- EBLO
House League
Our house league players from 7U through 18U will be supplied with a house league jersey and 750 style cubs hat.
Association sponsors may be added to the jerseys at the discretion of the CMBA board of directors.
Our house league players in Junior and Senior t-ball players will be supplied a Timbits jersey and hat.
House League players must wear long pants and close-toed running shoes or non-metal cleats. Metal cleats are not permitted. Helmets with a chin strap are required for all players when batting and running the bases.
House League Select
Our house league select players require the following uniform:
All teams must have:
- Primary Jersey – Blue Majestic Cubs jersey with Last name and player number (2 color)
- White baseball pants or knickers with single royal blue piping down the leg
- If knickers are worn – royal blue knee socks are required
- Royal blue Rawlings belt
- Royal blue helmet for all players and with a chin strap or protector for ages 8U-13U
- The 3930 or 5950 style blue brim Cubs hat with player number (*the entire team must have the same style of hat as selected by the head coach). Hats are supplied by CMBA and invoiced to the team. This ensures that the hats are matching and new each season.
- If an undershirt is worn – it must match the royal blue or be red in color
The #1 is a retired number in honor of John Corbett. No future players or coaches may select #1 for their jersey.
Representative
Our representative (travel) players from 8U through 22U have the following uniform requirements:
All teams must have:
- Primary Jersey – Blue Majestic Cubs jersey with Last name and player number (2 color)
- White baseball pants or knickers with single royal blue piping down the leg
- If knickers are worn – royal blue knee socks are required
- Royal blue Rawlings belt
- Royal blue Rawlings helmet with the Cubs ‘C’ for any players entering 8U and for any 9U and above players as they purchase replacement helmets
- All players at 8U through 13U are required to have a chinstrap or chin protector
- The 3930 or 5950 style blue brim Cubs hat with player number (*the entire team must have the same style of hat as selected by the head coach). Hats are supplied by CMBA and invoiced to the team. This ensures that the hats are matching and new each season.
- If an undershirt is worn – it must match the royal blue or be red in color

Teams will have their choice of one secondary uniform based on the below:
Option 1 (Secondary Jersey)
- Secondary Jersey – Sublimated powder Blue Jersey
- To be worn with above noted white baseball pants or knickers with single royal blue piping down the leg, belt, and socks
Option 2 (Secondary Uniform)
- Secondary Jersey – Sublimated white jersey with blue pinstripes and the Corbett tribute logo on the left sleeve
- White with blue pinstripe baseball pants or knickers
- If knickers are worn – royal blue knee socks are required
- Royal blue Rawlings belt
- Royal blue helmet with chin strap or protector as noted with the requirements above
- If an undershirt is worn – it must match the royal blue or be red or white in color
The head coach will make the decision regarding which secondary uniform the team will be using for the season.
All catchers will wear blue catcher’s gear provided by CMBA or, if player purchased, must match the Cubs royal blue color.
All rep teams will be required to wear their blue primary jersey uniform for all home games. Secondary uniforms may only be worn for away games.
If a team is electing to purchase all 3 uniforms, the decision must be unanimous between the families of the players.
Warm Up Clothes
Approved warm up clothing includes:
- Cubs branded blue shorts
- Cubs branded blue t-shirts
- Cubs branded blue jackets (rain, batting, or warm-up)
- Cubs branded blue hoodies
Coaches/Bench Staff
In all Rep series, all team personnel, including the manager and coaches, must be in complete baseball uniform.
Complete baseball uniform shall consist of:
- Corresponding tops or jerseys with proper numbers or names to serve as identification
- Corresponding (similar) baseball caps
- Baseball pants (no shorts are permitted)
Corresponding baseball socks
EBLO
Our EBLO (elite) players have the following uniform requirements:
All teams must have the following primary uniform:
- Primary Jersey – Blue Majestic Cubs jersey with Last name and player number (2 color)
- White baseball pants or knickers with single royal blue piping down the leg
- If knickers are worn – royal blue knee socks are required
- Royal blue Rawlings belt
- Royal blue helmet
- A 5950 style Cubs hat with player number
- If an undershirt is worn – it must match the royal blue or be red in color
All teams must have the following secondary uniform:
- Primary Jersey – Grey Cubs jersey with last name and player number
- Grey baseball pants or knickers with single royal blue piping down the leg
- If knickers are worn – royal blue knee socks are required
- Royal blue Rawlings belt
- Royal blue helmet with chin strap or protector
All teams must have the following warm-up gear:
- Cubs branded blue shorts
- Cubs branded blue t-shirts
- Optional Cubs branded blue jackets
- Optional Cubs branded blue hoodies
The team catcher must have royal blue catcher’s equipment.
Uniform Modifications
Any modifications to the above uniform requirements in keeping with a specific event or theme (example – a specific tournament, breast cancer awareness, fundraiser, miliary, US tournament, etc.) must be presented to the CMBA board with a proposal including artwork. Approval can be granted or declined by the CMBA board of directors.
The board will review each request on its own merit and vote to either approve or deny the request.
Discipline
Any team to be found not abiding by the uniform policy as listed above, is subject to disciplinary action.
Each instance of a team found to be in violation of the uniform policy will be subject to first a warning, followed by a $250 fine. Further violations can be subject to additional disciplinary actions such as coach suspension and additional fines.
Once informed of the uniform violation, the team will be responsible to pay the fine within 72 hours.
Further or ongoing infractions may have further discipline imposed, including but not limited to, additional fines, suspensions, loss of field time, loss of den time, at the discretion of the CMBA executive directors.
