CAMBRIDGE CUBS SELECT PROGRAM

The Cambridge Cubs Select Program is an intermediate program that allows our House League players the opportunity to further develop their baseball skills with the introduction of competitive baseball.  Our Cubs Select teams join the Inter County Baseball Association (ICBA) Select Loop and will play 10-12 games against other city centers.  In addition to the Select loop play, teams can also participate in Select tournaments throughout Ontario.

The Cambridge Cubs Select Program is perfect for House League players that are looking for a little extra baseball or players who are hoping to transition to the Cambridge Cubs Travel Program in the future.  In order to qualify for our Select Program, players must be registered for the CMBA House League program prior to Select tryouts.

CMBA is excited to be fielding Select teams for the upcoming season in the 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U & 18U divisions.  Cambridge Cubs Select Tryouts typically take place in the winter months after House League Registration has opened. Tryout details will be posted on the website and social media.

All Select players will be required to register for the house league program at their age-appropriate division.  Select players will also be required to pay a Select fee based on team costs such as training, equipment, diamond and umpire costs for games/practices (TBD).

Each Select team is led by a CMBA Head Coach who has been selected by our CMBA Head Coach Selection Committee.  All Select Coaches are provided access to the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and are screened per the Baseball Ontario Volunteer Screening Policy.

The regular season runs from May to August with an average of 10-12 Select games depending on the loop.  The season wraps up with league playoffs late August and provincial playoffs (if teams qualify) on Labour Day weekend.
